What is Give a Tweet?
Give a Tweet is a free service for everyone on Twitter - Hope it makes it easier for you to give, match and receive donations using Twitter!
Give a Tweet was founded to leverage the real-time power of Twitter to make it easy to donate to non-profits. Give a Tweet wants to enhance the donations received by helping individuals and companies promote the non-profits that they support by matching donations from friends and strangers! The original donation gets a boost, the matcher gets the kudos and the charities benefit all around.
Why should I donate using Give a Tweet?
By donating via Give a Tweet to your favorite charity, and picking a matching sponsor, you get to give more to the charity
Who sponsors and manages Give a Tweet?
Give a Tweet is our way of giving back to the community. We are @full360, a technology consulting firm based in New York City. Full 360 is in the process of establishing The Full 360 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization to take over the management and sponsorship of Give a Tweet.
We make no income or profit from the service, but if you are in the market for cloud computing or business intelligence, drop us a line!
What is a 501(c)(3)?

How do you process nonprofit donations?
All donations to nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax status made through Giveatweet.com are processed by our non-profit partner, Network for Good.
What is Network for Good?
Network for Good, a nonprofit organization, was founded by a consortium of leaders from the Internet and nonprofit sectors. It seeks to increase consumer's engagement by making it easier to get involved in their communities, by donating, volunteering, and getting involved with issues they care about.
At the same time, Network for Good helps other nonprofits to enhance their effectiveness through increased reach, educational content, and tools. You can learn more here.
When will the nonprofit receive my donation?
Why should I give online?
Contributions via the Internet are one of the most efficient and cost-effective ways for nonprofits to receive donations; they are less expensive than both checks by mail and credit card contributions made over the phone.
How do I know my transaction is secure?
Giveatweet.com and Network for Good use industry-leading Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to keep your personal information as secure as possible. Network for Good helps to protect your information by working with partners that provide a secure and safe environment for credit card donations.
You can donate with confidence because Network for Good is a BBB Accredited charity that meets all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability and is a Seal Holder.

What about my privacy?
Giveatweet.com and Network for Good respect and protect your privacy. We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. The information that you provide is used only to complete your donation.
As twitter information is public, the tweets about the donation are public as well. If you choose to make your donation anonymously, we will not share you name or tweet about it.
Are there fees when I donate?
Yes. All donations are made to the Network for Good Donor Advised fund. Network for Good re-grants the donation funds to the recipient charity(ies), retaining 4.75% to pay banks, credit card companies and other administrative costs like state registrations, real-time reporting for the charities, disbursement of funds and customer service for donors and nonprofits.
Neither Give a Tweet nor Network for Good profits from the 4.75% grant.
Why shouldn't I just give directly to a nonprofit and avoid paying fees?
Contributing directly to an organization does not mean that you avoid paying processing fees. Even nonprofits themselves incur credit card or check processing fees when accepting your gift that are generally equal to or greater than the processing fees charged by our partner, Network for Good.
As a point of comparison, when you write a check to a nonprofit in response to a solicitation by mail, an average of 30 - 40% of the money you give goes toward paying for the piece of mail you were sent as well as all other pieces of mail that were not responded to.
I had a problem processing my donation, how can I get assistance?
If you have questions about why a donation attempt was unsuccessful, or if you have questions about a completed donation, please email Network For Good at donations@networkforgood.org

The list of over 1 million nonprofits on Giveatweet.com is provided by data obtained from the IRS.
